2022 Universal Studios Florida Mardi Gras Parades are Back!

     Mardi Gras is an annual event at Universal Studios Florida which is a colorful spectacle that the whole family will enjoy.  As this event gets bigger and better, it is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated events throughout the year.  The good news is, this event is included with a regular park admission ticket-no separate ticket require!  The 2022 event happens February 5 through April 24, 2022.  

    Last year’s event was altered due to the pandemic with the omission of the centerpiece of the entertainment—the parades. In 2022, not only are the brilliantly lit parades and beads are back, but also loads of family friendly entertainment, food and merchandise!  


    On select days in 2022, Universal’s spectacular Mardi Gras parades are back for exciting entertainment for the whole family.  The theme of the 2022 parade is “Planet Mardi Gras” and will include six new themed floats which fuse Mardi Gras flare with cosmic-inspired elements like comets, rockets, martians and more.  


    Float riders will again toss handfuls of beads to the spectators which creates fun and excitement. Joining these new floats are Universal’s traditional lineup of New Orleans-inspired floats such as the iconic Jester and nearly 50-foot long King Gator.  


    The parade will wind its way through the streets of Universal Studios Florida on select dates, accompanied by high-energy music and dozens of street performers including stilt walkers and dancers who will don illuminating Mardi Gras themed costumes.
