Baked Ham with Creole Pineapple Mustard Glaze

Ingredients:

  • Large spiral sliced ham

Glaze ingredients:

  • 1 can crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 1/4 cup creole mustard (if you can't find any, used a stone ground mustard)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ham drippings

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place the ham cut side down on a large rimmed baking pan.
  3. Bake the ham in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.  Remove the ham from the oven and drain the excess drippings, but reserve 1/4 cup.
  4. Turn the ham on its side and cover the entire ham with the glaze.
  5. Return to the oven for 5 minutes or until the ham looks bubbly.

Creole Mustard Pineapple Glaze:

  1. In a small sauce pan, add the glaze ingredients.
  2. Heat on medium, stirring continuously until the sugar has dissolved.
